Soma is the Greek word for “body”. A somatic (i.e. body-based mindfulness) approach to coaching is person-centered and process-oriented, grounded in the unfolding of the present moment experience.

Somatic coaching works with the intelligence of the body, alongside the mind, in support of awareness and space for what’s present. Neuroscientist Candace Pert who coined the term “bodymind” describes how “[t]he body is not a mindless machine; the body and mind are one.”

Somatic coaching is informed by various modalities such as Gestalt, Focusing, Hakomi, and Organic Intelligence, as well as interpersonal neurobiology, polyvagal theory, and systems theory. This approach to coaching recognizes that our neurology, psychology, and biology are interconnected. It will help you reconnect with your inner sensations and emotions while welcoming all parts of yourself to emerge.

What should I expect during a session?
We will focus on what feels most alive for you — whether that’s a situation you’re navigating, a direction you’re considering, or simply something you’d like to experience more deeply, such as pleasure, play, or ease in your body. Sessions provide space to explore your experience in the moment and, when supportive, engage in grounding practices and somatic explorations, gently integrating whatever arises from them.


Who do you work with?
I work with adults of every gender, race, ethnicity, age, ability, and sexual orientation. You are welcome here.


How often can I work with you?
I work with clients 2, 3, or 4 times per month.


How long are sessions, and where are they held?
Sessions are 50-60 minutes each and take place virtually via Google Meet.


Pricing

Tiered Pricing for 1:1 Somatic Coaching

I recognize that we all live with different financial realities. I encourage you to pay at the highest rate you are able to afford and not automatically choose the lowest rate. A sliding scale invites you to choose your rate with intention and allows more people to access this service.

$225/session

For those with higher incomes and budgets. By choosing this tier, you’re helping support coaching for those with fewer resources.

$175/session

For those able to meet most needs, if not wants. You have relatively steady income, and/or spousal or family support. You may have some manageable debt. You may need to cut back on some discretionary spending temporarily for coaching services.

$125/session

For those living paycheck to paycheck and/or with significant debt.
